The windows are double glazed, so they kept much of the road noise out, and I slept well on the comfortable bed. The hotel looks modern and was clean. Breakfast was decent despite what I’d heard, especially the cake and pão de queijo. It was a bit pricey, but a good night’s sleep is worth paying for.

The staff were helpful and made sure I was looked after, even though I don’t speak Portuguese. The location works well: there’s parking on site, with more spaces nearby in the mall lot, and you can walk to the mall for shopping or food. There’s also a great restaurant/bar next door. The room was pretty decent, though there was no coffee or tea and the bed only had a sheet, no blanket. Maybe they have blankets in the lobby if you ask. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area, but remember to ask for one if you need a blanket.

There’s a big parking garage, and the rooms have large beds, refrigerators and good, steady Wi-Fi. ibis montes claros shopping is also well placed, with a mall, gas station and several places to eat close by. Breakfast costs quite a bit. You could cross the road to the bakery, or wait for the mall to open if you want more choices.

The room was fine, but breakfast was awful. The fruit had gone bad, and there was lipstick on the cup that was supposed to be clean.
