Porto do Zimbo

I had a wonderful time. The location and beaches were great, the people were lovely, and there are great restaurants nearby.

We split our stay into two parts, spending the first half in the center and moving to 4 praia halfway through so we could unwind away from the busy area. The location was wonderful, the staff were helpful and polite, and breakfast had plenty of variety. A couple of things could be better. Our room felt dark, with a dark wooden ceiling that made it feel smaller. I felt a bit claustrophobic, especially since the window was right above the bed and couldn't be opened. The pool also looked dirty. We booked partly so we could relax by it, but the cloudy water and debris put us off. I did see someone cleaning it, though they were only removing leaves. Communication could improve too. We waited 20 minutes for the transfer when we arrived and nobody explained the delay. I had to send a message to ask what was happening.

For a peaceful break with a nice beach and pool, this place works really well. It's clean and well cared for, with the comfortable feel of a beach village rather than a luxury hotel. Room service and the restaurant were very good, with tasty dishes prepared well, and the attentive service stood out. They could give guests more information about extra services on excursions, such as snorkel rental. You only hear about these things if you ask. The restaurant could also offer more for people who can't have lactose. Some cakes and dishes could be made with lactose-free milk, which might not even be noticeable to other guests.

The hotel is right across from the beach on the fourth beach, which is a great location. The staff are excellent and helpful, breakfast is good, and the transfer service is handy. I found the room small, and the bathroom could use some improvements. I definitely recommend it.
