Bali Mar Hotel

The bedding was new, clean, and in good shape, and since the hotel is new there was no musty smell. Nordestão supermarket is nearby, which was handy. The staff were polite and helpful, especially Kaline, and whenever we requested room service, they did it. For the price, the value was reasonable. We stayed for five days, and there were some downsides. The pool was cold even though we’d been told it was heated. Breakfast was quite basic, starting at 6:30, and tapioca wasn’t available until 7:00. The receptionist said room service happened every other day. On our last day they forgot to replace our towels, so we took some from the pool area. They don’t provide beach towels, only ones for the pool. The hotel is far from the beach. The access road has steep hills, litter, and vacant lots. At night it’s deserted, with many people living on the street, which made it feel unsafe. It’s a decent choice if you want a clean, new place at a fair price and know about the location limits.

Getting a ride by app was easy, and the craft market and restaurants are less than five minutes away by car. The hotel is very good value, and I’d definitely recommend it. The facilities are all brand new, from the room to the great bathroom and shower. Everyone at reception was always helpful. Breakfast was fantastic too, especially the staff, who kept everything stocked and did it all with a smile.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh, delicious choices and care put into the details. The hotel’s location also made getting around and going on outings easy. The room was spotless, comfortable, nicely decorated, and had a wonderful view. The bed made for such restful nights. The grounds were well looked after, with a beautiful pool and good places to relax. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was warm and attentive. Such a great stay, beyond what I expected. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

The hotel itself is very good, with comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, and an attractive, well-kept atmosphere. But that doesn’t make up for what happened just outside or for the lack of help afterward. I was worried about walking on the hotel street at night because it seemed so deserted. I asked staff several times whether it was safe and said I’d use only Uber if it wasn’t. They always told me it was fine. Then, at about 22:58 on 20/01/2026, two people robbed me at gunpoint on the sidewalk, roughly 10 meters from the entrance. They took my new phone, worth around R$ 10.000. I was shocked and badly shaken. The hotel offered no support at all: they didn’t call the police, ask if I was okay, give any guidance, or even offer a glass of water. I was left to deal with it on my own. My boyfriend was the one who helped, looking around the neighborhood for security cameras and going with me to the police station to file a Boletim de Ocorrência. The next day, some people from the area who weren’t staying at the hotel told me the street was known to be dangerous, especially at night. If I’d been told that clearly, I would have taken Uber and avoided putting myself at risk. I know the hotel can’t control public safety, but I expected basic care and assistance after a traumatic incident. I’m sharing this as a warning: I wouldn’t recommend walking around nearby at night. If you stay here, use Uber or a transfer, and be aware that in my case the hotel gave no help after the robbery. I wish I could have written only about the good facilities, but I can’t leave this unmentioned.
