Bamboo Flat Residencial

Nice rooms and good service.

Pretty ordinary.

We stayed for three days as two couples and chose a two-bedroom apartment. The owner greeted us when we arrived, seemed very friendly, showed us around apartment 101, and things seemed fine at first. The flat had a sofa, stove, fridge, kitchen utensils, sheets, closets, mirrors, and other basics. The price was good, 405 for four people, and the place itself is well located. I liked it, but I wouldn’t return. There’s a lot that needs attention. The biggest issue was upkeep and security. The apartment door only had a small padlock, which didn’t feel secure at all. There was dirt under the beds and the rooms didn’t seem properly cleaned. The sheets smelled bad. The bathroom had an electric shower but no shower curtain, so water ran all over the bathroom. There was no sound insulation, and noise from the room above was loud. When we raised it, the owner said to come find her at her apartment by the entrance so she could speak to the noisy guests. She said she didn’t answer calls or WhatsApp because she didn’t check them often. We asked about the on-site parking. The owner said it cost extra, which was fine, but said she’d check whether she had the key and then didn’t follow up or offer another solution. Instead, she suggested leaving the car on the sidewalk or street, where it could get damaged or fined. There are cameras, but coming into the flat at night still felt worrying. A steep hill leads up to the rooms, which wasn’t a problem for me but could be inconvenient. Nearby there’s a very dark, eerie alley with a long set of stairs where all kinds of people pass through. The trash area was a mess, with bottles and papers scattered across the ground. The flat needs better organization, more security, and tree branches cut back. It’s in a good location, but there’s a lot to research before booking.

I spent 05/02 to 13/02 at Bamboo Flat for my first longer trip on my own. The days in Natal were wonderful, and I made new friends. Ponta Negra was lovely, with great restaurants, a shopping mall, craft markets, and unforgettable scenery around the region. Karina handled my first contact and gave me the confidence and encouragement to go ahead with my plan to travel alone. She was always around, cheerful, attentive, and helpful, even checking afterward that I’d enjoyed the outings and everything had gone well. The transfers and tours were organized through Bamboo Flat, and the buggy drivers Romildo and Paulo were friendly and attentive. I felt very safe in the welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The place is simple but really pleasant, clean, and well organized, with excellent value. My room had a practical little kitchen, and the fresh bed and bath linens were changed regularly. I had a wonderful view of Morro do Careca. The beach, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, 24-hour bank, bus stop, and taxi stand right outside were all close by. I’d love to come back and highly recommend it for families and people traveling alone.
