Chalet Suisse

I stayed here during my student exchange and absolutely loved it. The view is amazing, and the chalets are great. The hotel is quite clean and well cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful, even with guests who don’t speak the local language.

The place has a charming, relaxing feel, and the chalets are cute, but they need some upkeep. It’s also overpriced for what you get. The Wi-Fi was very bad, and breakfast was miserable, nowhere near expectations. Honestly, it was the worst breakfast I’ve had and the worst in the area. Reception staff were friendly, as was the owner’s father, who is the manager’s father. Greetings to him. The daughter who represented the manager on duty was different: if I raised a complaint, she was aggressive and unfriendly instead of trying to help solve it. That felt incompetent and unprofessional. Since this is a family business and that’s their approach to customer service, complaining and insisting on your rights doesn’t get you far. A good manager needs to treat customers, who contribute to the business and pay their wages, properly. The resort itself is really nice, but it lacks good management, which keeps it from being a perfect holiday destination. For the same price, you could get a proper deal at a four-star resort. Dear manager, the pretty lady: a polite bit of advice. With competition getting bigger and better, investing in customer service is also investing in your business. The staff were really friendly and gave me great service. The Wi-Fi was amazing, and the location was excellent, close to both shopping malls and the beach. They made my stay in Brazil a pleasure!

A lovely spot for families, with a great garden and pool. Some chalets don’t have a kitchen, so it’s best to book one that does.
