I had a terrible experience here. I won’t come back or recommend it. This place needs a lot of improvement to deserve even one star. The outdoor area is attractive and comfortable, and the hotel is close to the beach, about one block away. But the location is dark, on a bend in the river, and the surroundings look ugly. The nice photos made me think the whole place would be good, but that was a mistake. The building is very old and badly needs maintenance and renovation. Inside, things were poorly cared for. Housekeeping did the bare minimum: they took out the bathroom trash and made the bed, but didn’t change the sheets or towels. Towels were changed only every 3 days, so we had to use damp ones with nowhere to dry them. Extra towels, sheets, or blankets cost per item, per day. Our room floor wasn’t mopped during the 8 days we were there. There were little ants everywhere, the bathroom tiles were stained and had mildew, the room smelled musty, and I even killed a cockroach in there. The shower was good when hot water came through, but we had cold showers on 2 days. It wasn’t an electric shower that you could switch on yourself. Breakfast was very basic with little variety. There was no requeijão or cream cheese for bread, just awful margarine. The staff were polite but not very talkative. If you didn’t say good morning, they didn’t either. The kitchen staff wouldn’t look at you. Once I greeted one of them and she answered while turning away, which gave me the impression she meant, “good morning only if it’s for you.” We put up with it because we’d already paid and only went back to sleep. I won’t return and don’t recommend it.

I stayed from 27/02/2026 to 08/03/2026. The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to Praia de Ponta Negra. I’d give the location a 10, though for a 3-star hotel I think several things could be better. Breakfast gets a 6: simple and adequate, but there wasn’t much variation from one day to the next during my 9 days there. The room gets a 7. It was basic and usable, but didn’t match the rooms shown on the booking sites. I saw the listings on 3 sites and felt it was a bit like “false advertising.” There was no wardrobe as pictured. The only place for clothes was in a suitcase or on a retractable rack with just 5 hangers, which is tight for a couple. There was nowhere in either the room or bathroom to hang swimwear, shorts, or a beach wrap to dry, which would make a real difference at a hotel so close to the sea. The air conditioning took a while to cool the room, and the employee adjusting it told me to leave it running when I went out. I felt like I’d been given the worst room in the hotel, at the end of a narrow corridor, unlike the pictures online. The bathroom gets a 5. It was poorly ventilated, with a tiny window, no bath towel holder, and no mirror. When I asked if they could put in even a simple one, I was told, “THERE WON’T BE ONE.” I had to shave in the room using a badly placed mirror, bending down to see my whole face even though I’m 1.71 tall. There was no bath mat when I arrived. I had to ask twice, since the cleaning staff took it away when they came through without replacing it. They did the same once with the face towel. The bathroom door is smaller than its wall opening and leaves a gap; it doesn’t close properly. The hotel doesn’t provide an iron or ironing service.

The location near restaurants, small grocery stores, and Praia de Ponta Negra was a plus, and we could walk to most things. The outdoor area and pool were also really good. Those were the reasons for the 2 stars, one for the location and one for the pool. My husband and I stayed 5 nights in February 2026. Breakfast was just okay, with few choices, and the sugar bowl on the tables was full of ants. Our room felt improvised and looked very different from the photos on Instagram. There was no bathroom door, which made using the toilet awkward even as a couple. The bathroom was cramped, and I’m sure an obese person would have trouble using that toilet. Cleaning seemed weak too, like they only mopped the floor and took out the trash. There wasn’t even a chair, table, or wardrobe for our things, only a rack for hanging clothes. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable, but the little blanket was torn at the corners and all misshapen. The structure is good, but the hotel seems poorly maintained, especially the rooms. We absolutely don’t recommend it.

I really enjoyed staying at the hotel from 13/11 to 18/11. I’d been a little wary because of the reviews, since people who have a good experience often don’t leave one and the negative ones stand out. The place felt very cozy. I arrived at 11 in the morning, although check-in starts at 14h, expecting just to leave my bag at reception, change, and go get lunch. The receptionist checked that my room was already clean and ready, then let me settle in early. I was very grateful for that. I loved the breakfast. It starts early and goes on later, and everything was fresh and tasty. The gas shower was powerful, almost like a waterfall, haha. I was on the fourth floor. I’d improve the signs around the breakfast area. I only found out on my last day that you could ask for tapioca, which was wonderful. I’d also put a bit more into maintenance. The hotel isn’t falling apart, but it needs some targeted attention before things get worse. I’m picky and honest about that. One thing to know: there’s a tourism fee of R$ 3,00 per room per day. They only tell you when you arrive, so it would be better to make that clearer or include it when booking.
