The inn is about two blocks from the beach, but its location was the biggest downside for me. It faces a narrow alley and sits next to an abandoned property, both places used by drug users. That made the area feel unsafe at night, so I avoided going out after dark. The reception also isn’t open around the clock. I stayed in August 2025, during Natal’s rainy season. Arriving about two hours before check-in, I was told there were rooms ready, but the receptionist said I could only go in then if I cancelled the Booking reservation. It was an awkward and unnecessary situation. I cancelled just so I could check in instead of waiting two hours for no reason. The room I got had no hot water in the shower, and the air conditioning took a long time to cool it down. After that initial check-in, service was calm, and the other receptionists were very responsive. Housekeeping came every other day; fresh sheets and towels were available on request. Breakfast was simple, with bread, cold cuts, tapioca, omelets, and homemade cake. One thing to know: the cake arrives from the market or bakery around 40 minutes after breakfast starts, which can affect your plans if you have an outing booked.

The place was quiet and well located, just a few kilometers from the main restaurants and bars in the area and close to Ponta Negra. My room was clean, tidy, and well equipped, with a comfortable bed. A very good stay.

The room and the whole place were lovely and peaceful, with everything we needed. Nalda welcomed us warmly from the first day and was so kind, friendly, and attentive. I came to Natal for the festival mada, and staying here made the trip even better. I’ll definitely come back and recommend it to friends. Thank you so much ❤️

We were welcomed warmly, and the staff always asked whether we wanted the room cleaned. The room had a minibar and air conditioning, kept in good order. It’s a quiet place near the Ponta Negra waterfront, a market, and a pharmacy. Breakfast really is simple, but in a normal northeastern Brazilian style: couscous, sausage, eggs, tapioca, cakes, bread, and cold cuts. I enjoyed the stay 😁

The Pousada Saruê is well kept, with tidy surroundings and a great location just two blocks from the Ponta Negra waterfront and near Morro do Careca. Breakfast is basic but covers the essentials, which may suit anyone who isn’t looking for a lot of choice. The service and limited check-in hours affected my stay. There’s no 24-hour reception, and check-in ends at 6 p.m. When I mentioned I might be late, the owner was extremely rude and showed little understanding. It made the whole interaction uncomfortable and hurt my impression of the place. With kinder service and more flexibility around check-in, the inn could offer a more pleasant stay. As things stand, I’d consider other nearby options with a more welcoming and efficient service.
