Praiamar Arena

It's a good hotel, especially suited to business travelers. The location wasn't close to the beach, but that didn't bother us. The breakfast was good and varied, with tapioca and omelets made to order, fries, and lots of choices. Dinner was disappointing: the rice tasted old, and the salad arrived without the cheese listed on the menu. When we asked for a replacement, it was half the size of the first one. The room's air conditioner kept switching on and off, making noise and behaving erratically. It was quite bothersome.

As a tourist, I found it a bit away from the main tourist areas, though not too far. That's based on my own experience, and the hotel does have access to Praia de Ponta Negra. I loved the place. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and great flavor. The room had good lighting and space, and a great bathroom. The reception area was beautiful, and the gym was good and well equipped. I didn't use the pool, gourmet area, or kids' space, but they all looked good.

Check-in and check-out were extremely slow. Housekeeping never collected my laundry, leaving me without clothes, and the bathroom supplies weren't replenished. I had only soap to shower with all week. On the 16th floor, the noise from the ceiling made it impossible to sleep. Something runs constantly up there, like being on an airplane every day. Really difficult and annoying.

I'm changing my rating from one star to five. I was very upset by an air-conditioning problem and initially said I wished Google would let me give the hotel zero stars. But, as an administrator myself, I noticed how willing and quick they were to resolve it, and how much they cared about their image when they responded promptly to my old review. Congratulations on the huge effort. It completely changed my assessment.
