The friendly staff were one small bright spot, but this hotel needs major repairs. Several things were broken: our fridge, the sauna, and other items. The tables at breakfast wobbled, and the chairs didn’t feel safe. By the pool, nails were sticking up from the floor and could badly hurt someone. Our room was very hot, especially the second bedroom, which the air conditioning didn’t reach. At check-in, my parents’ bedroom door was standing wide open, and we later discovered that our own door wouldn’t lock. I complained twice, but was told there was no room available. They found another room after my third complaint, at 10 pm, but my parents, who are in their 70s and 80s, were already in bed. I ended up sleeping with them and wedged a chair against the door for security. None of us slept well.

It’s a simple stay, without anything particularly fancy, but you’ll have what you need. In the room I had for my overnight stay, the shower and air conditioning gave me some trouble, which might bother more demanding guests. It’s a good place to stay in Natal, though you may run into some issues.

The service is very good, and the hotel is near the beach. The rooms aren’t very comfortable, though, and getting around the area isn’t great because the streets are so steep.
