Hotel Estrela Carapicuiba

The rooms are new and really good, and I’m generally quite comfortable staying there. The hotel is being renovated, so I don’t have much else to add, though it seems to be coming along well. The front desk setup is uncomfortable: you speak to the attendant through a square opening and can’t even see them. Maybe that’s the hotel’s policy. There’s no breakfast, but they leave complimentary water and little cakes, along with an electric kettle and instant coffee.

I wasn’t sure if this was really a hotel or more of a motel. Still, if that’s your thing, it’s beautiful inside.

I only went there to sleep, so I didn’t try everything in the room, but I have no complaints about it. My room was very clean and tidy, and it didn’t smell of cigarettes like people had said. The reception area could use some work: the curtain was dirty and covered in mold, and seeing that when I walked in nearly made me leave. For the price, though, it’s great. I didn’t find it as bad as people say.
