Ibis Osasco

The location worked perfectly for me, and the price was good for what you get. My room was very clean, but the smell was awful. The area stinks, so I covered the drains and that helped. Check-in took forever, even though I’m an Accor member and had stayed there before. It should be quicker, especially for Accor customers. Still, it was a good place to stay overall.

The restaurant was a highlight, with a very nice buffet and a good range of food that was good quality. The neighborhood isn’t great, and the entrance isn’t clearly marked. My room was tiny, with nowhere to put my luggage except the bed, so I had to take out what I needed and leave it on the floor, if I could find space.

Breakfast was fabulous, with lots of fruit, bread, and protein options. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. My room was comfortable and convenient, and the internet was strong enough for work. Everything met my expectations, and I had an enjoyable stay at IBIS Osasco. I’d recommend it if you want an easy, hassle-free place to stay.

My family booked three nights over Christmas Eve. We arrived at 3 am on Christmas morning, checked in, and finally got to bed around 3:45, exhausted from the celebrations. At 9 am, loud guests next door woke us up. The walls seemed to have no soundproofing. Then at 11 am, the cleaning lady woke us again. It was Christmas morning, which fell on a Sunday that year. If you check in at 3 am, even a shoddy hotel should know to schedule cleaning for the afternoon the next day. You have to carry your own linen, bath towels, soap, pillows, and extra toilet paper when you check in. The front desk employee didn’t wear a uniform and could have been someone you’d expect to see coming off a street dance show, working the desk nonstop. This place is a cheap, overpriced room in a box with no service, dressed up in an international hospitality brand to lure guests with the reputation of a hotel experience that no longer exists. Seven years earlier, Accor had three main tiers in Brazil: Formule 1 was cheap and small, Ibis was honest and still affordable with a nice restaurant and decent room size, and Mercure offered better service and rooms. By 2022, Accor had turned Ibis in Brazil into the matchbox-sized Formule 1, minus the bunk beds. It was basically Formule 1 rebranded as Ibis, and I can only wonder what Ibis Budget means for its branding and price. Maybe Ibis Budget comes with sleeping bags and a shared toilet, since by 2022 Ibis was already a cheap and dreadful budget hotel. You don’t get what you paid for. If you have other options, consider the other 10,000 before getting lured in by this misleading Ibis branding.
