We chose Pousada Mezanino for our New Year's trip to Ouro Preto, and I give it a 10. Cesar and Denise welcomed us warmly and helped us throughout our stay. It's just right if you're after somewhere simple, minimalist, quiet, very clean, and well organized. Breakfast was simple but really tasty, all fresh and served generously. The atmosphere felt very family-like and peaceful. We also made friends with guests in nearby rooms and chatted about the city and places to visit over breakfast. I highly recommend it!

The staff were really friendly and the service was very good. The room was large and comfortable, but very cold. The morning bells are loud and bothersome, though that's a consequence of the excellent location. It's hard to find a place to park if you don't arrive early. Breakfast is modest.

We stayed four nights and had an excellent time. The inn is right in the city center, close to praça Tiradentes. Our room was cozy, quiet, tidy, and clean. Breakfast was very good, all homemade and well prepared with that Minas flavor. Cesar was friendly and attentive. We were treated so well that leaving felt like we were saying goodbye to a relative's home. The inn met all my expectations for the trip. Ten out of ten!

I came away feeling so welcome, first by Julieta and then by Preta🐶🐶. Do I need to say more? I loved it. My husband and I had a simple room, but the bed was good and the shower was hot, which is what matters after hours of travel. The hospitality was excellent, the location was good, and breakfast was delicious and genuinely Minas style. That pão de queijo, oh my goodness, it was heavenly. I'd definitely recommend it if you want to explore the city without paying for anything extravagant.

Dora and César, the owners, gave us wonderful service and made us feel at home. The room was clean and smelled fresh, everything was neatly arranged, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was hot too. Breakfast was really good, fresh, and high quality. The location is privileged, and this is definitely the best lodging option in Ouro Preto.
