Nice.

Great.

The sunrise from the third-floor balcony was a real treat, and anyone can go up there. We stayed four days and had a great time. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, and the place is right by the sand, close to everything on foot or by car. I took my family to see Guarda do Embau, Sonho, Ponta do Papagaio, and a pinheira de cima, all less than a 10-minute drive away. Our room was clean, and the balcony had a clothesline for drying things. Breakfast had fruit, cake, yogurt, and scrambled eggs, so we didn’t go hungry, but I wished there were more savory options, even pão d’água. I don’t eat ham or sausage, and most of what was offered was little hot dogs and snacks with ham. We found the double bed very hard, nearly like a wooden board with a futon, while the single beds were soft springs you sank into. Changing the mattresses would make the stay a 10/10 for us. Still, I’d come back without hesitation and don’t regret the stay over those details. I’m sharing these suggestions because they could improve the experience. One other thing: a sticker on the pool step would help, like the ones on the other two, since I didn’t see the change in level and scraped my leg on the first day. The pool ladder also seemed loose. In our room there was a small difference in floor height, which a sloped threshold could fix. We’ll certainly choose it again next year.

We had a great stay. The staff were attentive and lovely. It’s in front of Praia de Baixo, a little far from the town center, but we even went there by scooter and it was easy. A few things could be better: the internet in the room was very weak, our TV didn’t get any channels, and the AC dehumidifier should be left on when guests go out because everything gets damp. The pool could use a heater too, since it gets no afternoon sun and feels cold. We’re still hoping to come back!
