Hotel Jardim do Porto

The staff were friendly and helpful, but breakfast was disappointing. The food tasted mass-produced, like it had come from a bakery, and wasn’t good. I’d rather see fewer choices and better-tasting items, with more care put into breakfast. I booked a room for four. It was a decent size, with two air conditioners, and quite basic, though clean. The bathroom was tiny and had no shower enclosure, so someone with a larger build might have trouble.

The shower was my only complaint. The water spray seemed to be blocked in a few places and went in the wrong directions. Otherwise, the stay was fine. The woman and man at reception were both very helpful and polite, well done to them!

It’s a simple place with good value, and the staff were very nice and down to earth. Breakfast could be a lot better: it was just fried snacks that seemed like they were from the day before.

The hotel’s location was the only plus for me. The bed was awful, and if you have back or circulation problems, the night could be a nightmare. The bathroom was tiny, and while they do serve breakfast, I won’t even get into it. The sugar containers on every breakfast table were full of ants. They could charge more if they’d at least improve what they offer.
