Hotel Pousada Mosaico

Excellent.

Never again. The place was filthy, the bathroom was dirty and smelled awful, and the room smelled musty and had cockroaches. There were water and power outages.

Getting around from here was convenient since the hotel is near the bus station, though taxis cost 15.00 and motorcycle taxis 10.00. Uber and 99 often declined because the ride was so short. My room and the shower worked, but there was no desk, and I didn't use the air conditioning, minibar, or TV. The room floor and the shower stall floor were dirty, and I shared the room and bathroom with two lizards. There was no breakfast on the day I stayed. When I asked for the breakfast charge back, they said it was only a courtesy and nothing could be done, then mentioned their monthly electricity bill of 5,000. I didn't see what that had to do with the promised breakfast. After I kept asking, they returned 10.00. I also asked for a glass of water and there wasn't one available. It was a terrible experience for me, though I know that can be personal. I tried to stick to the facts so future guests can be informed and the hotel can take the criticism constructively.

The staff were polite, and the place felt safe and peaceful, a good spot to rest. The price is very accessible, as is the location. Breakfast was really good. Rooms have air conditioning, a TV, and a minibar. There's also a guava tree out front.
