Hotel Rio do Sono

The shower alone would bring me back to Hotel Rio do Sono. Its water pressure is strong, and I could set the temperature to exactly what I wanted. The bathroom is spacious by Brazilian standards. In the family room, the extra bed is a proper bed, not a fold-up one, so I didn't wake up with back pain. Hospitality is another reason to return. The owner greets guests personally and takes care of their requests. Returning guests are welcomed as if they had only left the day before, which makes you feel at home. The hotel is in central Palmas, beside the small shopping mall “Palmas Shopping” and at the edge of the central square “Praça dos Girassóis”, where the state government buildings and governor's palace are. The main avenue heading south runs in front. Facilities include a restaurant, bistro, parking, outdoor pool, meeting rooms, regular rooms and family rooms. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, where the chef makes a daily special. Parking is free for hotel guests. My room had a king-size bed, TV, telephone, cupboard, air conditioning, table and chairs. There was no safe. I also found the hotel warm and pleasant, like taking a hot shower on a cold day. For the care, spacious bathroom, excellent shower and real extra bed, I give it five stars. It's a place I'd gladly return to and feel welcome again.
