Breakfast was another letdown, worse than what I had at an extremely simple inn in the countryside. The staff were often sour-faced and seemed unwilling to help. When I asked for extra pillows at reception, an attendant who looked visibly annoyed brought me some that had no pillowcases and looked moldy. The shower was poor too, spraying water everywhere. I stayed here both before and after my trip to Jalapão. If that hotel stay had been my whole experience in Tocantins, I definitely wouldn’t return. I can’t recommend the hotel, even though Tocantins and Jalapão are well worth visiting. Everything else on the trip was perfect.

Everything else was great, congratulations. I’d like the minibar to have drinks and snacks for guests, like soda, water, energy drinks, sweets, and Gatorade. Having to go to reception makes it less convenient, so guests are likely to buy less. The TV or receiver could also be better quality.

The location was perfect and the rooms were okay. There were only stairs, which made access difficult, but that was manageable. Carrying our bags up three flights without anyone asking whether we wanted help was fine. On arrival, though, the staff had sour expressions, gave us little information, and discussed internal matters in front of us, which was awkward. When we later asked where to go for dinner, nobody could suggest anywhere, just saying, “I don’t know.” We found open places on the same block and ate there. On the way back, we stopped at the hotel in front of ours and got such excellent service that we decided to switch hotels for the rest of our stay. The guys on the next shift were kind and sweet. If you’re in a bad mood or don’t want to work the Christmas shift, please don’t ruin other people’s Christmas.

I disliked everything about this stay. The room was small, and the air conditioning was terrible. It simply wouldn’t cool the room, so I was very hot. I complained at reception, but they couldn’t do anything. There wasn’t even water in the minibar, and the açaí I put in there melted because it didn’t get cold. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, and the awful shower sprayed everywhere except on me. I don’t recommend it.
