Pousada Tatu Feliz

The three day trek through vale do pati was the highlight of our Brazil trip. The scenery changed a lot along the way, and the hosts’ houses were clean, welcoming and lovely. We ate generous, traditional Bahian dinners there. Our guide, Matheus, clearly loves nature, explained the local environment to us, and paid close attention to how we were doing. It’s a sporty trek, but not too tough: around 7-9 hours on days one and three, and about four hours on day two, with modest elevation changes each day. We also spent two nights at the pousada and highly recommend it. They welcomed us in the middle of the night after we took a wrong turn on the way to Vale do Capao. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and breakfast delicious.

The room was just right, and the prices are really good. There’s hot water, and the staff are very flexible. I’d recommend it 100% as the best hotel in Caeté-Açu. Pura Vida 🇨🇷 from Costa Rica

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and everything was perfectly clean. Great location too. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t stay because the hostel was already full when I tried to book, but the team was really helpful.
