Vila Clara do Capão

Clarissa really knows how to make guests feel welcome, and she does it with so much warmth. The pousada is cozy, pet friendly, and has a beautiful view, a useful green space, a vegetable garden and very well kept gardens. The rooms have everything needed for a good night’s sleep in the Vale. Breakfast is a real highlight. It’s served with a lovely view, which makes for great photos in sun or rain, and the meal comes on colorful dishes with crocheted placemats. The food is tailored to what you like. There’s cuscuz, cold cuts, bread, freshly baked cakes, fruit, cookies, tapioca, juice, coffee, milk and herbal tea from the garden.

The care and attention we got here were wonderful, and it really felt like home. The view is beautiful, and breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the landscape. I especially recommend Clari’s homemade bread, it’s delicious! A perfect pousada for reconnecting with nature and enjoying everything Vale do Capão has to offer.

After a day of trails, all you want is somewhere comfortable, and this pousada is just that: cozy, clean and with a spectacular breakfast that leaves nothing out. The scenery and view are lovely too. Clarissa, the owner, was very attentive and suggested great outings, routes and restaurants. Be sure to follow her recommendations.

Clarissa and Ciro were such communicative, welcoming hosts, and gave us some excellent outing ideas. My husband and I felt at home in our very comfortable chalet. Breakfast deserves its own mention: it kept us going through all our hikes. I already want to come back 🥰🥰🥰
