We came to kite, but things were disappointing from the start. There was no kite station, and the older kite instructor seemed more interested in drinking than teaching. The villas look stuck in the 70s, and when the lagoon water goes out, the smell is pretty harsh. A clear no-go!

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Vila Jardim ❤️. The owners, Alena and Franz, are lovely, and the staff are very friendly. It’s a good spot for kitesurfers with nice places to kite. If the lagoon is full, you can kite right beside the hotel.
