Nature is all around the pousada, with lovely scenery, trees, leaves, branches, and even animals. We spotted a little monkey. It's easy to get to, and the breakfast was simple but really good. We spent the weekend there as a family and had a perfect stay. Adriano welcomed us and was so friendly and helpful. My wife twisted her ankle in the historic center, and he helped with some ointment and a massage. He also knows a lot about the tourist spots and gave us great tips. Since it's right in nature, there are animals and less privacy, so anyone who wants more comfort and seclusion may prefer somewhere else. But if you enjoy nature, animals, and a good chat, I think you'll love it like I did.

Think carefully before booking somewhere without seeing what it’s really like. Photos can be misleading. We stayed on 16/03/24, and I had a terrible experience. It was me, my husband, our 3-year-old daughter, and my cousins, a couple with their two children. We will never return. Fifteen minutes together was enough for us to know that. Loving and respecting nature is one thing, living among wild animals is another. Dirt, venomous animals, and children are a bad mix. Yes, the place is in the Mata Atlântica, but having spiders around 25cm long in the room with you is too much. My cousins arrived before us and were told the children couldn’t go outside alone because they could come across snakes and spiders. They ended by saying, "I DON'T KNOW WHY THE OWNER OF THE POUSADA KEEPS INSISTING ON LETTING CHILDREN COME HERE!" Be careful if you're bringing kids. We paid extra for a mattress for our 3-year-old, but I would never let anyone sleep on the floor there. When we arrived at night, we went to my cousins' room and found it dirty, with broken door glass. In less than 15 minutes, two huge spiders, bigger than any I'd seen before, appeared in the room. I have photos. The children panicked, and so did we. I was too scared to even go see the room where my family was supposed to stay. It was dark, poorly kept, and there were African snails everywhere. The person in charge at the property apologized and said the money would be refunded. The owner wasn't there because she'd had surgery. We left around midnight with nowhere to stay and without the money we'd paid. It took a whole day of arguing with the owner over a R$500.00 refund. She said she didn't have the money because she'd used it for her surgery. Our cousins still haven't received their refund.
