There’s nowhere to park a car, and getting to the kitchen means climbing a spiral staircase where one of my family members got hurt. The space is very small. One of the rooms has a window that won’t close and a strong cat urine smell.

Kelvin welcomed us very warmly and even let us check out a little later because something unexpected came up. The location is excellent, very close to the bus station and the historic center. The room doesn’t have air conditioning, so the heat was a bit tough.

The house feels cozy, the owners are lovely people, and their little daughter is adorable. Just keep in mind that if you’re expecting a hotel-style breakfast, you might be disappointed.

Everything was great, from the perfect service to the cozy rooms and spotless place. I have nothing but praise. Next time I’m back in Paraty, I know where I’ll stay again!

A great family-friendly hostel. My family and I were welcomed really well. The owner is there at breakfast, which was excellent, serving and preparing eggs and juice. It was well worth it.
