Hospedaria Caminho dos Ventos

I loved staying here. It’s in a great location for Beto Carrero park, and we even walked back once. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the owner was very friendly. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working well, but for the price it was still great value. If I come back to Penha, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Spotless rooms and such attentive service made this pousada a wonderful find. I loved my stay and highly recommend it. I’ll be back with my family soon!

The room was small, but everything was very clean, and the owner had treated us well at first. When my husband, daughter, and I came back from the park, the trash had been taken out and fresh towels left. That didn't bother me much, though it bothered my husband. I do think room cleaning should be approved by the guest or included in the booking rules, since some people might object. What really upset me was waking up at 7 in the morning to loud moaning from a woman and her partner in the next room. This was supposed to be a family place. My 9-year-old daughter was asleep and didn't wake up, but the shouting was really loud. I went out and said plenty, and it could have turned into quite a scene if the woman had come out too. I messaged the owner, who said he couldn't control what happens inside a room. So, does that mean I could throw a rave in mine? Maybe they should put up a motel sign. He also messaged me at 3:22 a.m. asking me to let him know when we'd checked out at 10, as if I didn't already know when I had to leave. Maybe he was in a hurry. After all that noise, we left at 8:30 instead. Only God knows. Other than all that, everything was fine, haha.

It's a very simple place, but the welcome was wonderful, and our room was spotless. I stayed with my daughter from August 30 to 31, and the owners greeted us so warmly. We were also welcomed by the cat Xuxu, and later by a Siamese cat whose name I've forgotten. If I need to come back to this city, I'll certainly stay here again. Sending the owners a hug.
