Pousada Vô Quintino

We had a great stay at this simple but cozy pousada. The room was clean and had air conditioning and a minibar, and the bathroom had hot water. Breakfast was very good, and there's parking and Wi-Fi on site. It's close to Praia Grande and suited what I was looking for. It also felt more family-oriented, with no rowdy noise at the pousada or for the neighbors. The beach nearby seemed to draw a more considerate crowd than the one near the city center.

The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked really well, and breakfast was generous. It's in a good location and quiet too. If I come back to Penha, I'll definitely stay here again.

We just checked out after seven days in the quadruple room. It had a big balcony, a hammock, a portable clothesline, and a washbasin that came in handy. My husband, our two daughters, aged four and six, and I had a great stay. The rooms were comfortable and impeccably clean, and breakfast was tasty and enough for us. We knew it was a pousada, not a hotel. We felt very welcome. We especially remember George's father, a lovely, warm man whose name I can't recall right now. He was often around at breakfast, greeting guests and chatting with us. When another guest got sick after eating shrimp at the beach, he made them water with lemon and baking soda to help. The pousada is near several beaches. We liked Praia Paciência best, and even the other beaches we jokingly called "far away" were beautiful. Parking is right next door, just a few steps away. You can also park one car in front of the pousada, which made unloading bags and arranging the cars easier. I saw a post saying children aren't welcome, and that prompted me to write this, my first review here. My daughters were treated very well. We also made sure they understood that we weren't at home, and that they could run, shout, and play at the beach or elsewhere. Talking with your kids about that helps. We'll definitely return to Pousada Vô Quintino. We're grateful for the stay.

We loved our stay and will definitely recommend the pousada and come back. We were there for three days, and senhor Luiz welcomed us warmly from check-in through breakfast and right up to departure. Breakfast was simple, but everything was fresh and tasty. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the parking is right next door.
