The house and grounds were okay, though a bit old and with a moldy smell. We had disagreements with the owners while trying to arrange for the rest of our family, who were staying elsewhere, to join us. We paid extra to use the barbecue and pool, but the owners changed the agreement at the last minute and complained to us on WhatsApp. Our family was so irritated that we didn't barbecue there, and they didn't refund the money. We also felt very uncomfortable because they let their Rottweiler roam loose in the yard without a muzzle. Several times we came back from the beach and found him loose. He even sat on the stairs watching and waiting for us to leave the house, which felt very dangerous. Between that and the tension with the owners, we preferred to spend the whole day at the beach and come back only to shower and sleep.

Zeus is one of the calmest dogs I’ve ever seen, despite his size. Carol and Ademar are wonderful hosts, very attentive and do everything they can to make the stay comfortable. I’ve been coming to the house for over a year, and whenever I’m thinking of going to Peruibe, I check whether it’s available straight away.

The house itself is great, but our stay last year with my children and family couldn't have been worse. The owners live there and treated people badly. We couldn't talk or play music, and they complained whenever the kids played. Even walking out of the pool and onto the floor got complaints because they said we couldn't get it wet. There was a huge dog roaming around the house too. They even kept messaging us while we were at the beach about the children's toys. We had no freedom at all, and what they said before we rented was completely different from what we found when we arrived. The whole experience was really unpleasant. I don't recommend it and will never go back.

I had a really pleasant weekend at Val and Carol's house. There are quite a few things that could be improved, but I think they can all be sorted out.
