This is a beautiful landmark in Petropolis, known even beyond the state of RJ and worth seeing when visiting the Imperial city. It’s also a great hotel, with large rooms, luxurious comforts, and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend it. Enjoy!

The hotel’s delightful Alpine architecture makes it a landmark in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It was a famous casino in the 1940s and attracted visitors from all over the world, including stars like Errol Flynn, Greta Garbo, Walt Disney, Orson Wells, Lana Turner, Bing Crosby, and King Carol II of Romania.
