Suite Catedral

The single room was truly tiny and felt unhealthy. They really shouldn’t make it available. That’s my only complaint: the location was great, breakfast was great, and the staff were good, but that room was seriously inhumane.

The location is good, but the owners need to decide whether this is an inn or a restaurant. If they keep running both, some urgent changes are needed. Food and frying smells spread through every part of the inn, with no clean or welcoming scent at all. The room is small and the bathroom is absolutely tiny, so it’d be uncomfortable if you’re tall, very broad, or a little overweight. I don’t plan to return. There are places at a similar price that offer a much better stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the towels and sheets were clean. The inn is well located, a little far from the center but near the Cathedral. The bed shook whenever trucks went by on the busy street out front, and the pillows were awful, low and hard, so bring your own. They said there was parking, but the garage is extremely small and attendants take the cars somewhere else. I never found out where. It also seemed that restaurant customers got priority for the parking spaces. That restaurant left a strong greasy smell in my room, and the bathroom door has air gaps that let personal hygiene odors drift into the room. I probably won’t stay here again. I didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was awful, dirty, and the bedding was terrible. The bathroom was unclean too, and given what they charge, they should put more effort into cleaning. Staff were rude and talked loudly in the morning about unpleasant intimate matters that could be heard from room 111. There was no sense of discretion. Breakfast was supposed to be a positive, but the bread and cakes were cold, stale-looking, and past their best. Items were hard and suspicious, and they were rarely replenished. Staff barely cleared tables, including one that was dirty with bird droppings, and I noticed a cigarette smell on one employee while she was restocking, which I hardly saw happen. The dirt was visible everywhere, maintenance seemed nonexistent, and the food looked questionable. A waiter mentioned the owners had other inns, and I got the impression they no longer cared about this place, which seemed badly managed. The responsible authorities should inspect it. It was a terrible experience, I don’t recommend it and will never come back.
