Pinda Palace Hotel

The manager showed no concern when we arrived exhausted after walking 30 km and found we had to take cold showers. There was no explanation and no attempt to fix the problem. The hotel was packed because of the Rota da Luz. If it can't accommodate that many people, it should limit occupancy or stop taking reservations. It was completely unprepared.

We were due to check in at 14:00 and got room 96, where there was no hot water. According to management, only the rooms on the odd-numbered side had hot water, and the problem was due to the hotel being full. That's absurd. It seems the hotel could only host half its capacity if that's what it takes to have hot water for everyone. At 16:39 we still had no hot water for a shower. Management just said they were full and working on it.

Our group of 120 pilgrims stays at the hotel every year in October, the busiest month because of the pilgrimages and the many groups visiting. I want to thank the whole hotel team, especially Keyla and Marcos, for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment. I know how difficult it is to keep the whole system running. Problems will always come up, but what matters most is the commitment to solving them. The rooms have good mattresses and a very good shower. I hope we can bring our group back every year.

I spent 16 days here for work and have nothing but thanks for the staff. Marcos at reception was especially helpful and made the stay even better. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was good and started at 6 a.m., and the hotel was very good overall.
