On a later visit, I found the service and facilities had improved, so I rate the hotel more highly this year. It's otherwise clean, safe, and seems popular. During my earlier stay, we had a few issues. I couldn't find an email address for management, though I would have liked to send them this feedback. The building seemed to have repairs that were temporary or had been overlooked, with some inventive fixes that made us smile. Both times we ate at the restaurant, the orders got mixed up, so you never knew what would arrive. When we asked to borrow a hairdryer or check in an hour early, the answers were abrupt: we were told the dryer could only be borrowed for an hour, and that getting the room before the 15.00 check-in meant paying an extra half day. Staff said these were strict management instructions. The jacuzzi was cleaned right away when we asked, but then we were told how to clean it ourselves next time. It seemed like the staff needed more supervision and the building needed maintenance.

Piracicaba was a great city, and I loved it, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel. When I booked, I asked how many nights I planned to stay, was given a price, and paid it. I was told food would be added to the bill if I ate there, and I agreed since the room nights were already paid separately. After checkout, I went to settle the bill and was told everything was paid, and that I only needed to return the key. I checked twice and they said it was all good. The next day, when I returned the key, they tried to charge me extra, saying the system hadn't recorded the right payment. I had a receipt and had been told everything was settled, so I couldn't understand how that could happen. My friend who recommended the hotel was angry about it too. In the Uber, I told him what happened, and he said this is Brazil and I should be careful because people might try to rob me when they know I'm not from there. I don't know whether the hotel was trying to scam me, but I don't like being treated that way. ❤️🇺🇸🇧🇷

A cozy room, a comfortable king-size bed, and a nice infinity pool. One of my top choices in Piracicaba, Sau Paulo, Brasil :)
