The reviews raise something to worry about. People have been complaining for anywhere from one to three years about there being no phone number for reservations, with Booking as the only option, and that doesn't seem reliable anymore. That's a lack of consideration. Maybe they're making plenty of money and don't care about people looking for a place to stay.

Pousada Por do Sol is peaceful, and I could rest my body and mind well. The place is pleasant and the room is comfortable, though the mattress is only okay. Everything else met my needs. A pousada is for sleeping anyway, while in Piri you go out to the streets, waterfalls, food, and all that.

This is a family-run pousada, with an attentive and helpful host. It was quiet, calm, and very clean. There was no reception or contact number, and we had trouble finding an entrance. The place is open, with no control over who comes and goes. I also didn't find the bed or pillow comfortable, and there wasn't an outlet in the room for charging a phone or laptop.
