I never actually stayed there. Before traveling, I called the inn after making a reservation through Booking. Rosane answered, and I believe she's the owner. With New Year's coming up, she seemed, in my view, to be trying to take advantage of the situation. My Booking price was X, including the cleaning fee, but she wanted to charge an extra Booking commission fee. I've used the site for years and traveled all over Brazil, and no one had charged me that before. It also wasn't clear that the rooms had shared bathrooms. I can't recommend staying there at all. The service was poor, and the owner seemed to be trying to be clever about the charges. Look at other places to stay, which I'm sure would work out better.

Rosane was a warm, helpful, and communicative host. The room was comfortable and the shared spaces were spotless. Being able to use the kitchen and fridge suited my needs at the time. Breakfast was delicious, and dona Penha was so friendly and smiley.

It's a house that's been turned into an inn, without someone responsible there full time. If you're the only guest, it could be nice, but I think it feels more restrictive during the busy season.
