Hostel Travessia

The mattresses and pillows were great quality, despite the low price. The staff were very polite and friendly, and the team at the inn can suggest things to do around town. The inn is centrally located, a three-minute walk from Praça dos Macacos, where there's a nice market on Sundays, and ten minutes from the old Hotel Casino, a local attraction. There are also some nice bars nearby for the evening.

I booked a double room online through hostelword, but when I called, they had nothing in their system. I did get a refund, and the management were helpful in trying to find me somewhere else. Since there were no vacancies left in town, I had to pay twice as much at another place. I'm really disappointed by what happened, and I practically had to beg for the refund of the booking guarantee from hostelword, which promises to reimburse you 50 dollars if the reservation isn't honored.

If you know what this kind of accommodation is like, you'll be welcomed very warmly here. There are rooms for men, women, mixed groups, and private stays. It's small but very well kept, and the service is very good. There's parking for five cars, plus another lot farther along. The avenue is busy, so take care when pulling over if you're arriving by car! 😉🙌🔝

Amazing place! Clean, organized, and secure, with really lovely service. Mariana is so kind and helpful, and her sister was just as attentive and kept checking on us. It was a great experience.
