Hotel D'Oeste

The location made it easy to get around on foot, and I’d definitely come back. Everything was spotless and airy, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was delicious. The pão de queijo got special attention from me, it was so good.

Room 219 was spacious, well decorated, and had plenty of air, with a roomy bathroom and a wonderful shower. The king bed was very soft, though the box base smelled really old, and the air conditioning wasn’t up to much. Breakfast was average, but served in a large dining room. The hotel is right in the center, across from the main square where the little tram departs.

The homemade food was delicious, and the staff were attentive. The owner was especially welcoming and friendly. The building is old, but felt clean and really cozy. I loved the Christmas decorations, both at the hotel and in the lovely decorated square right across the street. So glad I stayed.

The location is great, directly across from Palace Hotel, and breakfast was good, with tapioca too. The bed was comfortable, but the hotel is old and the rooms don’t block sound. A party with music in the ballroom was a bit disturbing. They also kept pushing to carry our bags and get a tip, which felt awkward, though I understand that’s a custom in older hotels.
