Hotel Floresta

The hotel is beautiful, especially if you like places with history. The building is protected as a historic landmark, and the sunny pool is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a little walk, but you can head straight to the thermals at Fonte dos Macacos. I loved my stay and will definitely come back to Poços to enjoy the lovely service from Sharon and Kwai again.

The hygiene was disappointing, even in the kitchen, which was a serious concern. For what they charge, the value just isn’t there, and I’d look at other places nearby before booking. The hotel is very old, with a musty smell in the corridors and room. At night, the constant noise from the SAMU nearby made it hard to rest. It also isn’t as close to downtown as advertised, and a lot about the place feels stuck in the past. A stay well below what I expected.

The price was good for what you get, and breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room smelled nice, and there was Wi-Fi. Drinks were excellent value too. But the blanket had a strange smell, the bath towel was stained, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. I’d stay at Hotel Floresta again, but I’d bring my own pillow and bath towel.

We loved the cozy place and the spotless cleaning. The room was spacious, with a big bathroom, and the hotel staff treated us really well and were so attentive. Breakfast was great too.
