I paid for two beers in cash before picking up the room key. When I went to return the key, they said I owed for three beers. I refused to pay, even though it was only 27 reais.

The room was quite plain, with no bedside lamp, and the breakfast was simple, just the usual options. Still, the location was great and the place was clean and airy. The king bed had a good mattress, and the bathroom was a decent size with a strong shower.

The building is beautiful and nearly 100 years old, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The one real downside for me was the very bad mattress in my room.

Andréa and Éverton looked after us so well, both incredibly kind and helpful throughout. We were a group of 12 with VolksFriends and had a really good experience, with good facilities and a great location close to everything. Highly recommend Pousada Max Pomerode. Thanks for everything, we’ll be back next year.

The place is simple but right in the center, close to everything, and the service was wonderful. It felt like being at grandma’s house. Breakfast was really good, and the cleanliness was spectacular. The value for money was well worth it for us. We had a wonderful stay.
