Planalto Select Hotel Ponta Grossa

We’ve stayed at Planalto several times, and even with the high staff turnover, the experience is still consistent. The rooms are always clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower pressure fantastic. The toiletries are basic, though we bring our own, so that doesn’t bother us. Breakfast is a real highlight, with a huge variety and food comparable to the best hotels we’ve stayed at around the world. Parking is easy, and the valets are quick, though the parking price seems to have gone up recently. My wife and I always look forward to coming back. It’s by far the best hotel in Ponta Grossa.

The parking was the one part we weren’t so keen on. It’s usually full and tight, and they generally ask for the keys so they can park the car. We prefer to park ourselves, though if you’re happy to let them handle it, that may suit you better. Breakfast and parking are included in the hotel rate. We stayed for three nights last week. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and nicely renovated, and both the customer service and room service were good. There’s also lumen Cafe on the ground floor. The hotel is right in the center, close to almost everything. It’s a nice place to stay, and we’d gladly come back. Thanks!

The location is perfect for business in the city, and the rooms are great and clean. I tried the penne pasta at dinner and didn’t like it, so I can’t recommend dinner.

The cakes at breakfast were a treat, and the breakfast overall was luxurious. The building is art deco, like many others in Ponta Grossa. Noise from contact sounds in the room disturbed me at night and early in the morning.
