Century Park by My Way

Getting in through the app is convenient and feels secure, and the team has always responded quickly when I needed something. I’m staying at Century Park Living and have had a very positive experience. The place is clean and well cared for, everything works, and the organization is great. The apartment is well equipped for what it is.

The access app repeatedly failed to provide the codes for the building’s outer and inner doors and our room. We had to contact remote reception several times, and they were not very helpful with complaints or fixing things. There’s no staff on site during regular hours to turn to. A caretaker did come by at times to check problems and help after we complained through the company’s WhatsApp. During the first two days, we had no hot water in Porto Alegre’s winter weather, with temperatures of 8-12⁰C. A staff member told us on WhatsApp that the water was heated and that it was the same in every apartment. On the second day there was no water at all for the whole day, in the sink, shower, or toilet, either in our room or in shared areas like the coworking space and reception bathroom. Water came back at 11:30 p.m., warm enough for a shower. On our last day, we woke up to a leak in the room. The curtains were dirty too. I had a terrible stay, and I won’t stay with this My Way company again. I regret finding it through Booking.

The shared spaces are organized and the location is good, and the app is convenient, with a pre-arrival check-in system that works well. But the room fell short on basic comfort and hygiene. The first one smelled awful and had a dirty toilet, so I messaged them on WhatsApp and they promptly moved me to the room next door. That one wasn’t much better: there was a nail clipping on the floor, stains on the towels and sheet, and the pillow and mattress were really bad. There were ants throughout the room too, so the place needs pest control.

I ended up staying another week and had a great experience. The place is comfortable and the service is impeccable. It’s in a good location, near a market, supermarket, and a nice coffee shop for breakfast. I bought fruit and vegetables at the market to cook here at Century Park. I recommend it and will be back.
