Master Grande Hotel

The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. They didn’t speak English, but I still managed to communicate with them. One receptionist deserves special credit for getting me boiling water every day so I could make tea. Everything about the hotel was great.

I liked the clean hotel, the friendly staff, the good location, and the big beds. Breakfast was the problem during my two days there: on the first morning, there was no food at all, and on the second, the eggs were raw and made me feel a little sick. Maybe it was just a bad weekend, because otherwise it was a great hotel.

The hotel is in the old city center, which made it easy to see things on foot. But the parking was limited, so we had to use a paid lot. The hotel requires prepayment, and the room cleaning was poor, with a guest’s socks left on a shelf. When I asked reception for an extra towel, they told me to come downstairs and get it myself. The elevator broke down often and didn’t stop properly, so I had to go to the top floor and take the stairs down.

The historic neighborhood is gorgeous, and the location is great, with plenty of food options for different tastes nearby. For people attending conferences, the hotel could offer more amenities, such as Wi-Fi.
