The pool area was the biggest letdown. It doesn't look good and gives the impression that it's been neglected, and the hotel in general is older and needs better upkeep. The room itself was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the value was about what I'd expected for the location and the kind of hotel it is. It's a fair choice if you just want a decent night's sleep at an honest price, but management needs to give the shared areas some attention.

The reception staff were the one good part of my one-night stay. They were attentive, polite, and willing to help. The place as a whole just isn't in a condition to offer a pleasant stay, and I wouldn't recommend it. I booked through a reservation site that didn't show what this place was really like. It was completely different from what was offered. If I'd read the earlier reviews, I never would have booked. The room smelled strongly of mold and dust. The curtains and bedding had mold stains, and the broken window wouldn't close, either the blind or the glass. I had to sleep with it open all night and got bitten by mosquitoes. Light from outside came in through the open window, and the corridor light stayed on and shone under the door. There was no phone in the room to call reception. The one in the corridor didn't work either, so I had to go to the front desk to ask about Wi-Fi. There wasn't usable Wi-Fi in the room. None of the networks worked, and they gave me the password for a nearby room whose signal was very weak. The furniture was old and smelled strongly of mold. The bathroom was in terrible hygienic condition and smelled very strongly of urine. There was toothpaste dirt on the sink, and the toilet was dirty, stained, and marked with old grime. The toilet water came out brown. The shower only produced hot water above 30 degrees, and I couldn't adjust it to something more moderate. The shower curtain had mold marks, the bathroom tiles had plenty of mold marks, and the hair dryer was in very poor condition. The corridor and room walls had obvious signs of deterioration and some restoration work.
