Slaviero Porto Alegre

We stayed here two years ago and chose it for the location. We only realized after booking that it was a different chain. We’re already customers of Slaviero, so we were happy to see the chain in Porto Alegre. The recent improvements are clear, from the attention to detail and organized spaces to the comfort. The whole team gave excellent service, especially Eduarda, who was always kind, attentive, and ready to help. That hospitality made a real difference, and we hope to return soon.

The hotel is very clean and organized, with a great location opposite a busy square. There’s a market in the square on Thursdays, which made the stay more interesting. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. One uncomfortable thing happened while we were still asleep: the housekeeper opened our door, probably thinking we’d left for the day. On day two it almost happened again, but she knocked first. It was a good stay, though they should take more care with this so guests have comfort and privacy.

The room was spacious and had a nice view from the top floor, but the cleaning wasn’t done properly, even though it looked as if it had been cleaned. The blanket was torn, and the hotel’s free Wi-Fi worked so badly I couldn’t watch my exam review lessons. The location is really good, and the staff were always helpful and treated me well.

After checking in, I found there was no water in the bathroom. The hotel said all the water tanks were being cleaned at once, during peak season. I thought that was a very amateur decision that ignored guests’ comfort. After 10 p.m., with the problem still unresolved, I asked for my money back and went to another hotel. My takeaway: don’t stay at Slavieiro de Porto Algre.
