CasaMar Maraca

Jin and Mariana made us feel so welcome, they're great hosts. The hostel has a laid-back feel, with a pool, and you can get amazing pizza in the evening. A perfect place to stay in Maracaípe. We highly recommend it!

There's a wonderful pizzeria right inside the Hostel, and the pizza was so good, the best I've ever had. There's also a drink bar with several kinds of caipirinha, including araçá, lime, seringuela and grape, at a great price, a pair of caipirinhas for 15 reais! 😎 It's pet friendly too. The beach is really close, with an easy route from the Hostel down the same street and through a little alley. The rooms are airy, and the fan is strong. The owners said they're already arranging air conditioning, so what's already good is going to get even better. Such a welcoming place.

We traveled with my little dog, and the hosts welcomed us with such a great attitude. The place is beautiful and comfortable, close to Maracaípe beach. They have shared rooms with a bathroom inside the room, and there's a really nice pizzeria at the hostel. Highly recommended! You have to visit Maracaípe! ♡

I read the reviews and decided to book, but unfortunately I was disappointed. Maracaípe beach is nearby, though it's for surfing and not good for swimming. There's a restaurant and a small market close by, but getting to Porto de Galinhas, where everything is, means taking an Uber. I wouldn't recommend public transport because the area is quiet. When I arrived, a cat came over and rubbed against my leg. There are six cats, and the place was covered in animal hair. The rooms have no windows or ventilation, smell musty and have leaks. There's barely space to move between the beds, and you can't leave the door open because the cats come in. Breakfast was good, but I didn't feel comfortable getting into the pool. At night, the pizzeria operates there and puts tables right in front of the bedroom door where you sleep. You can't use the kitchen at night because the pizzeria is running.
