My husband and I stayed at this inn from 26/12/25 to 05/01/26. The staff were great and attentive, and did what they could for guests, but the owner hasn’t kept up with maintenance. The place needs renovating. The bathroom flush had no pressure, the shower was poor, some bath towels were torn, and the cleaning wasn’t very good. The air conditioner also needed maintenance, and breakfast was very basic and weak. We asked to speak with the owner and reached her by phone. We told her we weren’t satisfied, wanted our money back, and planned to move to another inn. She was quite arrogant and said we were making up the claim that the air conditioner wasn’t working. In fact, we’d given up on the trip and wanted a refund. We explained that consumers have rights, and she replied that she was a lawyer with an OAB license and that R$ 450,00 per night was all we could expect. If we wanted more, she said, we should go to a five-star hotel. Whatever the star rating, a clean, properly working bathroom and an air conditioner in good condition are the basics you expect.

The location is the only good thing. My room was moldy, there were little cockroaches at breakfast, the pool was so full of debris it made me nauseous even though the water looked blue, the towel was thin as paper, and the toilet was broken. I’ve stayed at much better two-star inns in Porto for the same price. I came for the pool, but my daughter was too disgusted to get in.
