The room was roomy and comfortable, with a double bed, a single bed, a large closet, a safe, fast and reliable free WiFi, a big desk, and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was modern and clean. There’s a pleasant pool facing the beach, and towels are free. Breakfast was the usual Brazilian buffet with fruit, bread, cheese, ham, cakes, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, and milk. We got there around 3 AM and the front desk was open, which is a real plus for a pousada. I don’t think they have parking, but the street is quiet enough to find a spot and leave the car. Maria Bonita is fine, and better than you might expect from a pousada in Brazil. The one thing that stopped me giving it five stars was the windows: even though the property is on the beach, they’re small and face the side rather than the sea.
