Pousada Mirante de Porto

It’s very clean and pleasant, and good value. The staff were attentive, so I can’t say the service was bad. But we got up early to enjoy the beach and ended up stuck for over an hour, unable to leave because we had no keys and nobody was at reception. They hadn’t given me my key. It was uncomfortable, cost us time, and disrupted our plans. A place where you go to relax shouldn’t leave you stressed. Someone only comes in at 8 in the morning, so each guest needs their own key.

We were welcomed warmly, and I’d definitely stay again. Our double room was well organized, and the breakfast was delicious. Just keep in mind that breakfast is on the third floor, right above the room we had, so it got a bit noisy around 7 in the morning. It would also help to have a few hooks in the room for clothes and towels, since you need somewhere to dry things after the beach.

We loved the place and the pool was wonderful. We stayed in an apartment style room with a kitchen that had everything, even bottled water, plus a living room, bedroom, and air conditioning. We could bring whatever food and drinks we wanted. When we came back a second time, everywhere was full and we couldn’t find a spot, so next time we’ll call to reserve. We loved it, 10,000 out of 10.

The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent. For me, being right on the avenue was a big plus.
