Pousada Porto Belo

The staff were always helpful and ready to assist, and the location is great, near the beach and right in the village center. But the bathroom water smelled horribly of sulfur and sewage. After showers during our seven-day stay, our skin felt sticky and smelled bad, and the water seemed untreated. The towels and pillows were awful, there was no face towel, and breakfast was very basic. Porto Belo is a simple inn, but it needs more investment and facilities for guests. It wasn’t worth what we paid, and unless things change, I can’t recommend it.

We were treated really well during our week at pousada porto belo. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very attentive. We asked to have our room cleaned on day three, and they took care of it without any trouble. There isn’t a leisure area, but with the inn right in the city center and less than a minute from Porto de Galinhas beach, we didn’t need one. I loved our stay and definitely recommend it!

Madalena at reception did everything she could to make us comfortable, but there were too many problems. Water poured in through leaks all over the place during my July 2017 stay, when it was especially rainy. The bathroom was old and poorly cleaned, and there were cobwebs in the room and hallways. After a shower one night, I found a scorpion on my bed. The sheets and towels were old and dingy. The location is very good, but the inn needs a lot more maintenance and care. I really can’t recommend it.

We arrived with our bags and were told there was no room for us, even though we showed the confirmed reservation. We had booked and reconfirmed with Tiago at reception and had provided our credit card details. We ended up having to drive almost 80 km back to find another inn. It felt like they gave our room to someone who showed up at the desk, leaving us stranded. That was a total lack of respect and professionalism toward customers. I don’t recommend this place.
