Kaha Mar - Patacho

I was disappointed. The Google and Instagram photos make this look like something else, and I didn’t find the romantic, cozy place I’d expected. The location was really poor: there’s no direct walking route to the beach, so you have to take the car and drive several kilometers around. The pool was a cold puddle with dirt in it, and its jets didn’t work. The divider was badly done, so the neighbor can see into the other unit. The barbecue was filthy and unusable, and the outdoor sofa was ugly and disgusting. The kitchen was bare and had no extractor fan, dish rack, or sponge, just basic things it should have had. There was no microwave either, which is serious. The living room had no curtains, so there was no privacy. The light switch was outside, and at night there were lots of mosquitoes. For ground-floor apartments, I’d expect the parking spot by the garden door to be reserved for that apartment to give more privacy. The shower fixture was full of limescale. Breakfast wasn’t extraordinary, but it was good quality, and you have to reserve it by 6 p.m. the day before. The room was small and had no closed wardrobe, though the bed was great. The air conditioning worked fine and was quiet. I think the place has potential, but it badly needs maintenance, and the location is awful.
