Pousada Villa Tatuamunha

The food was fantastic, and Cris in the kitchen was wonderful. The women who looked after us throughout our stay were excellent, and all the staff took great care of us. The bed creaked at the slightest movement, though, and the owners, a couple, were extremely unfriendly. They wouldn’t even say good morning when passing by. Once, the male owner saw me carrying my bags while he had nothing in his hands, but just looked and kept walking without offering to help or greeting me.

The food really mattered here, since there aren’t many varied dining options in the area. The pousada’s restaurant made a big difference. Everything we tried was delicious, thanks to the cooking by Cris, Edvânia, Ana, and the rest of the kitchen team. The cuscuz at breakfast and the shrimp in pumpkin at lunch or dinner were standouts. The wine list has some great choices, and the lime and cashew caipirinha with pitú is full of local flavor. The Alagoas scenery, with its colorful views and breathtaking skies, made the experience even better. Alagoas has a place in my heart. Villa Tatuamunha is a little piece of paradise on the Rota Ecológica dos Milagres. The pousada is right on the beach, and beyond its hotel service, it was the team that made the stay feel so special. The kitchen staff, including Cris, Edvânia, Ana, and the others, along with Silvestre, looked after us like family the whole time.

The garden is so peaceful, and the rooms are really comfortable. The women on staff gave us spectacular service, and the food was out of this world. The pousada is on a beautiful beach near the mouth of the Rio Tatuamunha. The river is a lovely attraction in its own right, with an Instagram-worthy bridge and a beautiful sunset, and it’s just a short distance away.

We had a wonderful stay at the end of November with our daughter, who was 2 years and 6 months old. The pousada is private and has a lovely grassy area with hammocks, sofas, and a pool. Guests can borrow kayaks and bicycles. Our quarto brisa was spacious and comfortable, and the food was fantastic. Breakfast is à la carte, which I prefer to a buffet because everything arrives fresh at the table. A couple of small additions could make the stay even better. A drying rack on the balcony would be useful for swimsuits, towels, and beach wraps. Breakfast starts at 8, which felt a little late when the tide meant we needed to head out quickly. One morning we asked to eat earlier, and they accommodated us right away. It would also be helpful to have a child seat for the bikes. Another couple with a child mentioned this too, and we ended up not using the bicycles because we couldn’t bring our daughter along. Just suggestions for an already wonderful pousada.
