Awesome!

We arrived on 21/05 and were assigned room 214. The mattress was old, misshapen, and sank so much when I lay down it felt like a canoe. The pillows were thin and limp, almost impossible to sleep on comfortably. I can’t recommend this hotel at all. The building and its facilities are badly neglected, and the stay was disappointing from start to finish. The bathroom looked long neglected, with grimy shower tiles. The bath towels were absurdly small and thin, like dishcloths, and only changed every 3 days. After heavy rain the next day, water dripped right at the end of the bed. There was a leak in the room. We complained and were moved to room 224, but things were nearly the same. The air conditioner then stopped working and had to be switched off from outside. We asked for the room to be cleaned while we were out, but it wasn’t done because the hotel said it had no spare key. That’s completely disorganized. We also asked for a hair dryer and were told the hotel doesn’t provide one. Reception staff rent one out by the hour, something I’ve never encountered at a hotel. Leaks in several areas, visible damp, and yellowish tap water added to the impression that the whole building was abandoned. The advertised photos didn’t match what we found. There’s a lack of maintenance, comfort, hygiene, and basic facilities. It was extremely frustrating, and we certainly won’t return.

The location and pool were good, and I liked the breakfast even though it was a bit repetitive. The reception staff, both the woman and the men, were very friendly and helpful. But our room was at the back, facing the rear street, where people shouted at night every day and made it hard to sleep. The main problem was cleanliness. There was a lot of dust above the headboard, and my husband, who has allergies, felt quite unwell because of it. The bathroom sink was clogged, the shower was either far too hot or went cold when we tried to make it lukewarm, and the shower floor and stall were dirty. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom. The rooms were basic, but a better clean would have made a big difference. They could improve things a lot with proper bathroom cleaning products. When we went out so the room could be cleaned, they only took the rubbish and, I think, wiped the floor. The sheets weren't changed, and we didn't get fresh towels or soap. I was glad I'd brought my own towels and soap. We planned to stay five nights, but left a day early.

The hotel's location is its one real attraction. The room hygiene and breakfast were both disappointing, and I even found a mosquito in the margarine, which was poor quality to begin with. During heavy rain at 3 a.m., water came through the roof and soaked my pajamas. I woke up drenched, with more rain coming into the room than falling outside. At dawn I complained at reception and was moved to another room. It wasn't just my room: at least four other guests had the same problem. The manager never came to speak with us or explain what had happened. With the hotel at full occupancy that day, it didn't seem to me that a lack of money was the issue. It feels like the manager is waiting for a roof to collapse and hurt a guest before taking action. The building needs urgent structural repairs, starting with the roof. I'll never stay there again. Bahia is beautiful, but its accommodation deserves more care. I’ve attached photos so this isn't based on my words alone.

The staff were especially kind and polite, and the hotel is right in the center of Porto Seguro, which made getting around easy. I spent 7 days at Hotel Adriático and the stay generally met my expectations. My room, number 128, was comfortable but simple. There was only a bathroom mirror, and I would have liked a full-length one, though I think some rooms may have better options. Housekeeping came daily and was generally good, but with so many guests, the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The tiles looked a little grimy. It's not a resort, but the hotel has a decent setup. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and as expected. A good value option, with a few things still needing improvement.
