La Torre Resort All Inclusive

There's a huge area behind the rooms, with a volleyball court and a big field for football. The food at the restaurant was awesome, the staff were nice, and the beach is very close. A couple of real downsides: they don't allow balls on the beach, and the restaurant internet is about as reliable as SpaceX launches. Still, this is a really good place.

The food and drinks were good, with plenty of variety at all hours. The beer was always cold and the drinks fresh and tasty. There's also a kids' club that kept children busy all day, which was a nice touch for a family focused resort. The grounds are big and clean, and most employees were friendly. But the place was disorganized. We waited 45 minutes for a hamburger during our first hours there, with only four people ahead of us. Queues and poor organization seemed to crop up everywhere, from reception to breakfast. When it rains, the only entertainment area is too small for all the guests, so you'd be better off going back to your room since there's nowhere for everyone to sit. Our room was close to the beach, and the location was good. The first bed was so old it had no cushion; I sat on the edge and one of its legs broke. There was mold all over the bathroom, even by the swimsuit line, and the sink was clogged. The shower pressure was great, but the loose valves made it hard to set the temperature. The main room's air conditioning didn't work properly. The windows had only blackout curtains, so the room had to stay dark all day to stop people seeing inside. We put out a do not disturb sign, but staff still came in, cleaned, then left a puddle of water on the floor. For what we paid and a five star place, I was very disappointed. Don't book room 139. When the neighbors turn on their shower, it sounds like the wall might explode. If they're up early, you'll wake up with them. The hotel communicates through WhatsApp, which doesn't work well with international phone numbers.

The location at Resort La Torre in Porto Seguro felt like a tropical paradise, with a beautiful beach. The staff made us feel at home with really good service, and we enjoyed the delicious meals, especially the fresh seafood. There was plenty to do and see during our stay. Everything was spotless and well maintained. I recently stayed there with my family and would highly recommend it for a relaxing, memorable vacation. It exceeded all my expectations.

The resort was clean and pleasant, with nice pools and good food. We might have enjoyed it if we'd been able to sleep. We booked the “quiet” section for an extra fee, but there was a stage right behind our room where a live band played very loudly until 11 each night. We actually liked the music. The problem was that after the show, rowdy, drunk guests would scream and sing on the stage until 3 or 4 in the morning. We could hear them clearly with the windows closed. We complained at 2 a.m. one night and nobody came to speak to the guests. The next night we complained again. Staff asked whether they were playing loud music; we said they were shouting loudly and keeping us awake, but were told there was no noise rule being broken as long as they weren't playing music. We didn't sleep at all during our four nights there. I'm still giving it three stars because without those guests, it would have been quite enjoyable.
