Mutá Praia Hotel

We came as a family of ten and left very happy with the stay. The hotel was great, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. We'll definitely come back. There are mosquitoes, as we'd seen mentioned on Google, so we brought an electric repellent plug-in ahead of time. We didn't have any trouble with them.

The restaurant serves simple, tasty home-style food at fair prices, and the kitchen staff were kind about accommodating my dietary restrictions. Breakfast was generous as well. We loved our vacation at Mutá. Kátia, the manager, is really nice and took care of all our requests, especially the ones concerning our 10-month-old baby. I'd recommend the place to everyone.

The location was the one part I wasn't keen on. The hotel is in Santa Cruz Cabrália, an independent municipality, not Porto Seguro, and it's about 30 minutes from the Passarela do Álcool. If you rent a car and want to drink, you'll need to pay for an Uber. We paid around 40 reais one day when we went to the Passarela do Álcool. I liked the stay otherwise. Reception was wonderful, and our room was pretty, clean, tidy, and spacious, with one double bed, two single beds, and a refrigerator. Breakfast was simple but tasty: breads, cakes, ham and cheese, two juices, three kinds of fruit, chicken quiche, coffee, and water. They had pão de queijo one day but not the next. There's a restaurant above reception with pizza and snacks at what I thought were fair prices. They also serve lunch, though unfortunately we didn't get to eat there. I'll post photos of the Passarela do Álcool, the place where the first mass was held, the hotel, and the menu.

I want to clarify that I never stayed at the hotel. My dealings with them were awful, with no empathy or respect for a customer. I booked the wrong dates, October 28 to November 1, when I meant November 1 to 5. On the 29th I messaged to ask if we could work out a change to the correct dates. The employee just told me to check what my reservation said, which meant I would lose everything. I called the booking center and asked for management. I couldn't speak with a manager, but an employee said they'd pass along my case and get back to me. I also asked whether I could use at least one night. I followed up for an answer and didn't even get a sorry. I was horrified that a company wouldn't respond to a customer. Such a complete lack of empathy.
